The Beauty of a Rose Garden

Thank you for stopping by my website. I’m assuming you, like me, think roses are amongst the most beautiful of flowers. My name is Willow May, and my rose garden is my greatest passion. I wanted to write a blog that will help inspire and educate others on the beauty of rose gardens. My rose garden is vast, about an acre in size. I have rose bushes, hybrid roses, trellises with gorgeous climbing roses, mini roses, and more. I am going to share growing tips such as the best time to plant your roses, pruning methods, watering, and feeding. I've also learned what the best growing conditions are as far as sunlight, drainage, and soil types. I hope that reading my blog will help you on your way to having a lovely fragrant rose garden of your own.

3 Table Runner Looks Ideal For A Farmhouse

Table runners can add dimension to a table and help bring your entire space together. There are a lot of table runners out there with a lot of different looks. If your house has a farmhouse style to it, then here are a few types of table runners that you'll want to consider, in particular.

Knit Table Runners

A table runner made from a thick, knit material will look really nice in a farmhouse-style kitchen. Knit materials make you think of the country and of simpler times. You don't necessarily want a runner made with too thick of a knit material, or else you may have trouble getting items to balance securely on top of it. However, one made from a medium yarn — the type you may see used to make dishcloths and the like — can be lovely. You can often find hand-knit table runners at trade fairs and local markets, and buying one can be a great way to support a crafter or local business.

Terrycloth Table Runners

Terrycloth is another fabric that has a really soft, comforting look that belongs in a farmhouse kitchen. It's also really easy to keep clean, which is an asset if your farmhouse kitchen is heavily used and tends to get messy. You'll see a lot of terrycloth table runners that are two colors — a base color with a stripe of a second color running down it. This can be a good option if you want to make your table look wider. The stripe calls attention to the center of the table, and then the other color draws your eyes out from there.

Table Runners With Tassels

Table runners made from a solid material with little tassels coming off each end are another good choice for a farmhouse kitchen. The majority of the runner is simple, but the tassels add just a little character — but still with a country appeal. This style of table runner tends to look best in a light color, such as white or cream. If you have a really light-colored farmhouse table, then you may want to go with dark brown or black. Bright colors, though, tend to look too flashy for a farmhouse with the tassels.

If you want to maintain the look of your farmhouse kitchen, then you need to choose your decor with the farmhouse theme in mind. Any of the above farmhouse table runner styles would be a great choice!
