The Beauty of a Rose Garden

Thank you for stopping by my website. I’m assuming you, like me, think roses are amongst the most beautiful of flowers. My name is Willow May, and my rose garden is my greatest passion. I wanted to write a blog that will help inspire and educate others on the beauty of rose gardens. My rose garden is vast, about an acre in size. I have rose bushes, hybrid roses, trellises with gorgeous climbing roses, mini roses, and more. I am going to share growing tips such as the best time to plant your roses, pruning methods, watering, and feeding. I've also learned what the best growing conditions are as far as sunlight, drainage, and soil types. I hope that reading my blog will help you on your way to having a lovely fragrant rose garden of your own.

5 Tips to Save Money When Buying a Home

If you're ready to give up the renting lifestyle, you may be starting to explore the process of buying a home. Owning your own property can be exciting. It's an excellent way to have a place that is really yours, and it can allow you to put your money towards an investment. When you go to buy a home, you want to be smart and find as many ways to save money as possible. Here are some tips to save money when buying a home:

Get an Agent

You may want to explore buying a home without an agent, but it's really not worthwhile. A good agent can save you so much money, and they can also take away a lot of the stress that comes with buying a home. Let the expert guide you towards making a smart choice when buying.

Explore Multiple Lenders

If you plan to get a mortgage, as most buyers do, you'll want to explore all of your options. Don't settle with the first lender that you find. Instead, get a couple of different quotes. You may be able to get a better rate with one lender, and it pays to do your research and compare.

Put at Least 20% Down on the Home

When you go to buy your home, most loans will require that you make at least a small down payment. When you put down a bigger chunk of cash, it can save a lot. If you're able to make at least a 20% down payment, you can avoid paying for private mortgage insurance. This fee is tacked on to your mortgage payments. There's no point in paying this extra expense if you're able to avoid it.

Be Willing to Do Some Work

If you're open to purchasing a home that needs a bit of renovation, this can also save you money. Other buyers will be more willing to pay extra for a home that is move-in ready while homes that need some work often sit longer, and the sellers may be willing to accept a lot less than asking price.

 Work on That Score

Your credit score is so important, and it can really influence the type of home loan and interest rate that you can get. If you can spend a bit of extra time working on improving your score, this can help you trim your home mortgage interest costs.

If you're ready to learn more about the home buying process, and if you want to learn additional tips on how to save on this big expense, reach out to a local agent.
