About Me

The Beauty of a Rose Garden

Thank you for stopping by my website. I’m assuming you, like me, think roses are amongst the most beautiful of flowers. My name is Willow May, and my rose garden is my greatest passion. I wanted to write a blog that will help inspire and educate others on the beauty of rose gardens. My rose garden is vast, about an acre in size. I have rose bushes, hybrid roses, trellises with gorgeous climbing roses, mini roses, and more. I am going to share growing tips such as the best time to plant your roses, pruning methods, watering, and feeding. I've also learned what the best growing conditions are as far as sunlight, drainage, and soil types. I hope that reading my blog will help you on your way to having a lovely fragrant rose garden of your own.

Keep Wasps Away From Your Home

Wasps are the uninvited guest that you never want to see show up at your door. While you can't eradicate all wasp from the world, you can take measures to at least make your home less desirable, and inadvertently, keep these insects away. Discover some of the home pest control actions you can take to keep wasp away.

Seal the Perimeter

Wasp can get inside your home when you open a door or window. However, if you keep finding wasp after wasp in your home, they have likely found another way to get inside. Gaps around doors and windows create the perfect opportunity for a wasp to gain access to your home, virtually undetected. Search around your house to see if you can find these insects point of entry and quickly seal up the area.

Remove the Food Source

Wasps don't exactly settle around your property because they like you. The insects are around because there is a food source in the area. If you can remove the food source, you can make your home less attractive. To start, ensure your wastebasket has a lid on it, and keep it closed at all times. If you have any berry trees installed on your property, you might want to remove them or plant them at a distance from your home. Keep in mind, these elements serve as ideal food options for the insects.

Create a Functional Garden

Plant a garden that isn't just gorgeous to look at, but that can also help keep the insects away. Start your garden by planting mint, geranium or wormwood. All of these plants are unattractive to these insects and cause them to stay away. If you don't have the space for a garden or you don't have a green thumb, you can also try using an essential oil version to spray down some of the areas where the insets typically are.

Call a Professional

You cannot get rid of a wasp problem until you first understand why they are in or around your home in the first place. Contact a local pest control company so that you can have a technician come out and investigate the issue. Once the technician identifies the problem, he or she will be able to provide you with a more effective removal and prevention plan going forward.

Take steps to keep your home as wasp-free as possible to keep your family safe and so that you can enjoy the outside spaces of your home more freely.
